NJSBDC at Rutgers-Newark can help. This is an hands on workshop held in a computer lab. One of our business counselors will guide you through the process of registering your business online with state of New Jersey and obtaining a Federal Employer Identification Number with the IRS. In order to attend you must meet the following requirements:
You have decided on your legal structure of business:
Have the Name for your business:
Have an Alternate business name in case the first is not available
Have all contact and personal information
including social security number, date of birth, addresses and phone numbers of all members that would be registered with the business.
Know about your Licensing & Permits (if required):
Must have a credit or debit card to pay the $125 State of NJ filling fee:

Your email is need to have a copy of your Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN) letter sent to you.
IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING THIS EVENT
NJSBDC at Rutgers-Newark has closely monitored local, state and federal agencies regarding the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In response, out of an abundance of caution and in line with CDC recommendations for businesses and large gatherings, the decision has been made to switch from in-person events & training to a virtual format.
Participants should ensure that they have a desktop or laptop with access to the Internet and the ZOOM platform. In the event that you cannot participate online you can request a refund 7 days before the event date otherwise you will receive a credit to attend the event at later date.

Dr. Tendai Ndoro
Dr. Tendai Ndoro has a PhD in Public Administration and serves as Regional Director for the NJSBDC at Rutgers-Newark Business School. Dr. Ndoro has received numerous awards for her work as an economic development expert and a business woman. She is also a trained Baldrige Examiner. In collaboration with private/public entities she promotes small business development, community & economic development initiatives.
