Thank you for registering for Rutgers Newark SBDC Small Business Contracts & Capital Sourcing Expo
This forum will be a panel of conventional and alternative lenders ready to lend. Registered business will have the opportunity to pitch their business and financial need to this panel on the spot, get feedback on their pitch and connect with the lenders who is interested in discussing their financial needs after the event. This is changing the playing field where lender will compete for doing business with your business.

Location: Rutgers University – Newark Campus, Ackerson Hall, 180 University Ave, Newark NJ 07102
Pitching Instructions for the Day of the Event
On arrival, please check in at the registration desk
You will receive an envelope package with the name of your pitching forum and your number. This number is your pitch presentation slot. (Numbers are being assigned on a first come first serve basis)
Remain in the Atrium (Room 300) and network with other participants
Pitching will start promptly at 9:00am for the first session and 11:00am for the second session.
Proceed to room 341 when your number is called.
You would have 2-5 minutes to present your business pitch
- Pitching slot is per company. Members from the same company will have to pitch at the same time.
- There will be 1 minute for Q&A if the panelists ask questions. Please keep your answers very short and to the point. All detailed communication will be after the event when you or the panelist reach out to you for further discussion.
- If a panelist is interested in doing business with you, please put your company information in their inbox
- Your pitch will be timed. When your time is up, a buzzer will sound and you will have to leave the room;
- If your number is called and you are not available, you will be skipped and have to wait until the end of the day – time permitting;
After your Pitch, please return to the Atrium (Room 300) and network with participants and vendors.
